Community Solar: A Site Visit to Pennsylvania’s Ely Farm

The Ely Farm in Bucks County, Pennsylvania installed solar panels to cut energy costs, and help to preserve the farm for future generations of the family.

My recent site visit to the farm impressed upon me the need to allow more farmers to do what Dwight Ely, the farmer, and butcher who owns this significant property in Southeastern PA, has done.

Penn State found that nearly $2 billion in new investments stands ready to grow the community solar market in PA, which only needs state legislative authority to allow.
